Description

The Meade 20099 StarNavigator 102-Millimeter Refractor Telescope is easy to operate and computer-guided, which makes learning about galaxies and other planets easy. The large 102-millimeter diameter refractive lens captures more light for brighter images. This telescope features the AudioStar hand controller with "Astronomer Inside" technology that provides a guided tour of the night sky with synchronized tracking and audio explanations. After a brief alignment, the motorized mount will guide the telescope from object to object while the built-in speaker (in its hand-held controller) describes the celestial object being viewed. If you'd prefer to be your own tour guide of the heavens, the telescope is ready to take you to any visual object using the included (30,000) object library and educate anyone listening with over (500) audio presentations in either English or French. The metal mount features advanced electronics to make alignment easy. It includes an internal clock. The adjustable aluminum tripod allows stable, comfortable viewing. The mount is powered by its internal battery pack which holds (8) user-supplied AA batteries. This telescope features a focal length of 800-millimeters and a focal ratio of f/7.7. The included (2) Meade 1.25-inch eyepieces, MA 25-millimeters and MA 9-millimeters, offer 32 and 89-times magnifications. AutoStar Suite Astronomer Edition software, Instructional DVD and an easy to use red dot viewfinder are also included. The Meade 20099 StarNavigator 102-Millimeter Refractor Telescope comes with a 1-year warranty. Serious astronomers for years have flocked to Meade telescopes for their quality optical systems and patented technology. Consumers know that "Meade Optics Inside" means that what they see through our telescopes will be views that are detailed, crisp and full of contrast.
